1969 Vero Beach Home,Full Under-Slab Rehabilitation
A 1969 concrete-block home with recurring backups affecting the kitchen and both bathrooms. Southeast Services rehabilitated the home's under-slab cast-iron drainage system in two days without requiring the homeowners to leave the property.
The Problem
The homeowners had effectively kept a local service plumber on speed dial. For several years, backups returned approximately every three to four months, requiring repeated service calls to clear stoppages and attempt to clean the aging cast-iron pipes.
Each visit provided only temporary relief. Before long, the kitchen and both bathrooms would begin draining slowly again, followed by another backup. The problem became so persistent that the homeowners were embarrassed to host family and friends because they could no longer rely on their plumbing system to function properly.
What The Camera Found
Typical of aging cast-iron drainage systems, our complimentary camera inspection identified heavy tuberculation throughout the pipe segments within the property. The accumulated corrosion and scale visibly restricted flow across nearly the entire drainage system.
The bottom channel of the pipe also displayed the classic wear pattern associated with deteriorated cast iron, with several areas worn effectively paper-thin. Fortunately, no sections had collapsed and no separated joints were found. This allowed the home to remain a candidate for full trenchless pipe rehabilitation without excavation.

Guaranteed Lifetime Warranty

The Outcome
The homeowners no longer need to keep a local service plumber on speed dial. Their recurring backups and slow-drain conditions were resolved through the rehabilitation of the existing cast-iron drainage system.
The project was completed in two days, and the homeowners remained in the house throughout the work. Property disruption was limited to temporary water-use restrictions during active installation and curing windows. No floors were opened, no interior excavation was required, and the home was returned to normal service with a renewed drainage system backed by a full lifetime warranty.
The homeowners were highly satisfied with the completed project and the confidence of knowing the underlying cause of their repeated plumbing problems had been addressed, rather than temporarily cleared again.
